Project GSE NM-2

GSE NM-2 is a 2.5 MW ground-mounted solar PV project located in the City of Roswell, NM. The project achieved commercial operation in July 2013, with construction performed by S&C Electric Company. The electricity produced from the project is sold to Xcel Energy, the local electric utility that serves the area. Combined with its sister-project, GSE NM-1, the pair provide more than 9 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year to the community, enough to serve the needs of approximately 780 homes. The CO2 emissions saved are estimated at over 226,125 tons, and the SO2 emissions saved are over 994 tons, over the projects’ useful life.
